It's always fun (and sometimes frustrating) looking back on the year and seeing which artists were streamed the most, record sales, etc.. and this year is no different given the fact that streaming numbers went extremely up for the country genre during the pandemic. Hip-hop numbers were down and you can probably largely blame that on not having big gatherings due to Covid.
Anyway, let's look at who the top artists were, according to billboard and the sales/airplay information from Nielsen Soundscan and Data Systems.
