Blake Shelton Releases Heartfelt New Song 'Bible Verses'

As adamant as Blake Shelton has been about not putting out a new album and only releasing singles from now on, he finally caved. (Or his record label strongly urged him to, but whatever.)

Today, he released 'Bible Verses' from that upcoming record and it's the best song I've heard from Blake Shelton in years. Yes, years.

Here is the chorus:

I can open up that good book, and heaven don't look, like it's out of reach
When it feels like those apostles are giving me the gospel and not the third degree
I just want it to read like bible verses, and not the bible versus me."

Congrats to Andrew Peebles, Joe Fox and Brett Sheroky for writing an AMAZING song. Listen below:

Blake, this is so beautiful and so relevant to so many of us, if we admit it to ourselves. I’m so happy that this song came to you to record. I have listened to it so many times since it came out, I’ll be happy when I can purchase the complete work. I continue to pray God’s blessings for you and Gwen and for the life that God have given you guys, enjoy the blessings you deserve it. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
