Meet New Texas Upcomer Braxton Keith

Meet New Texas Upcomer Braxton Keith

‘Make Up Your Mind’ and join the ‘Honky Tonk Crowd’ (Pun Intended)

Meet Braxton Keith. Born in Midland, TX, Keith found a love for country music at a young age. As early as kindergarten, he began playing the piano and studying music theory. His influences are among Hank Williams, Haggard and George Strait. There’s plenty of good country music out there if you know how to find it, however, what seems to still be lacking, you can find from Braxton Keith with his two singles ’Make Up Your Mind’ and ‘Honky Tonk Crowd’.

On Wednesday April 8th, Braxton took to Facebook as part of Wrangler Network’s ‘Can’t Stop Country’ live stream series. Over the course of the hour long segment, Keith performed seven original songs and seven covers.

Among the seven artists covered in that segment were Tyler Childers, Garth Brooks, Frank Sinatra, George Strait, Jerry Jeff Walker, Radney Foster and and a ‘Baby Got Back’ cover by Sir Mix-A-Lot. Yes, you read that correctly. Covering the big names on this list are not an easy task but Braxton made it seem like another day in the office.

Make Up Your Mind, a powerful breakup song, and Honky Tonk Crowd, a barn burner, sure to have you tapping your boot along to the beat in seconds, were the first two songs he played during the livestream. Throughout the course of the next hour, he played five new songs that will be featured on his upcoming EP this summer: Love You More, Neon Green, Devil In Disguise, Ups and Downs and ‘Drifter,’ which will be the lead single from the EP.

Braxton has a damn good future ahead of him and us here at CNTRY highly encourage you to hop on BK train sooner rather later. We're fired up over this guy.
