Morgan Wallen Discusses Difficulties Of Co-Parenting Son With Ex
Morgan Wallen has already had a huge start to 2021. He's broke multiple records with his sophomore double album, 'Dangerous,' and has proven to be the next biggest thing in country music.
Still, with all of the broken records and fame, it hasn't been all easy for him. Last year he made headlines after getting arrested outside of Kid Rock's bar in Nashville and for getting booted from SNL for breaking Covid-19 protocols. All of that is behind him now, however, but the one thing he reveals is still difficult, is being a co-parent with his ex.
Morgan recently told PEOPLE that being a single dad "is definitely not how I imagined parenthood. I wanted to have a family like my parents. My parents are still together, you know. They raised me and my sisters together. Obviously that's not the way it turned out and I struggled with that a little bit when I first found out."
Wallen also said that him and his ex had broken things off before the baby but would still "see each other some." Now, he say's he's thankful to share his son with someone he care's about and they're doing the best to figure it out.
Now at 6 months old, their baby, Indie, has reached the age to stay over-night at Morgan's home and he admits his parents have traveled to help him.
In his Instagram birth announcement, Morgan wrote out "I'll be the Dad you deserve as well as the co-parent your mother deserves. I promise I'll always protect you and do my best to be an example of a good, godly man just like my daddy was for me."
