Morgan Wallen Receives CMA Nomination for Album Of The Year

Despite a ban from several categories, Morgan Wallen is nominated for Album Of The Year at the CMA awards on November 10th.

The board of directors chose to make Wallen ineligible for individual awards after his "incident" earlier this year but since the Album Of The Year award also recognizes credited collaborators such as the producer, Morgan was eligible in this category.

It makes sense but ask the same time, does it? Either make him illegible in all categories or don't at this point. To me, it's as simple as that.

Regardless, Morgan's double album 'Dangerous' was massive and broke all sorts of records for a Country artist. Despite being banned across radio stations and playlists for a few months, Morgan didn't go anywhere. And he's not going anywhere. For a very, very long time, at least.

Along side Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, and Brothers Osborne in the same category, Morgan deserves to win this one.
